Te Puna Manawa Trust (HealthWEST) is a Māori Provider Partner committed to providing effective and efficient health services. We are passionate about improving health outcomes in the Waitematā and Auckland district by delivering free, accessible, innovative community and primary health services focusing on Māori, Pacific, tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and other high-needs populations. Te Puna Manawa’s Kahu Taurima is a free health service for māmā, pēpi, hapū māmā and tamariki, living in West Auckland, North Shore and Rodney.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
We seek an experienced Nurse Manager passionate about improving outcomes for tamariki and pēpi to join our small but vibrant Kahu Taurima team. This leadership role includes managing staff, resources, systems and processes; everything to do with the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including appropriate reporting. You will play a key role as part of the organisations leadership team contributing to overall planning and improving performance for the whānau you serve. As the senior clinician, you will take a caseload of clients and will provide nursing assessment, intervention and follow up. This role is 1.0 FTE and based primarily in Henderson.
He kōrero mōu | About You
We are seeking a vibrant, energised registered nurse with a current practising certificate and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in child health. You may be a Level 3/4 nurse looking to make the jump into a senior role or an experienced Manager looking for a new challenge. You must consider yourself passionate about Māori health with expert knowledge in health issues that Māori, Pacific and high needs whānau encounter. You will have a Post Graduate Certificate in Child Health or be working towards it. Knowledge of Med Tech evolution and MS Office suite is an advantage as well as excellent written and communication skills. Success in this role requires an appreciation and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to improving outcomes for whānau.
