Te Puna Manawa Trust (HealthWEST) is a Māori Provider Partner committed to providing effective and efficient health services. We are passionate about improving health outcomes in the Waitematā and Auckland district by delivering free, accessible, innovative community and primary health services focusing on Māori, Pacific, tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and other high-needs populations. Te Puna Manawa’s Youth Health Hub is a free health service for young people aged 12 – 24 years living in West Auckland, North Shore and Rodney.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
We seek a Registered Nurse passionate about improving outcomes for rangatahi to work across two youth clinics. You will be working within the youth clinic based in Henderson and Glenfield. This position will provide nursing assessment, intervention and follow up to rangatahi. This is a permanent full-time role although alternative options will be considered for the right candidate. Experience in youth health nursing and the ability to engage with young people is imperative. As a senior nurse, you will take a caseload of clients and will provide clinical leadership across the nursing team.
He kōrero mōu | About You
We are seeking a vibrant, energised registered nurse with a current practising certificate and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Nursing and or Youth Health. You may be a Level 3/4 nurse looking to make the jump into a senior role or be an established leader looking for a new role. You must consider yourself passionate about Maori health and working towards equity for Maori. You will have a Post Graduate Certificate in Youth Health or be working towards it. Knowledge of Med Tech and MS Office suite is an advantage as well as excellent written and communication skills. Success in this role requires an appreciation and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to improving outcomes for whānau.
