Te Puna Manawa Trust (HealthWEST) is a Hauora Māori Partner Provider and Non-Government Organisation (NGO) committed to providing effective and efficient health services to the community. We are passionate about improving the health outcomes for our communities and providing innovative community and primary health services across the Waitematā and Te Toka Tumai region by delivering free, accessible, innovative community and primary healthy services focusing on Māori, Pacific, tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and other high-needs populations. Te Puna Manawa’s Kahu Taurima is a free health service for māmā, pēpi, hapū māmā and tamariki, living in West Auckland, North Shore and Rodney.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
We seek a Registered Nurse passionate about improving outcomes for tamariki and pēpi to join our busy team at Kahu Taurima. This position will provide nursing assessment, intervention and follow up. This role is 0.6 FTE and based primarily in Henderson. Experience in child health nursing and the ability to engage with tamariki is imperative.
He kōrero mōu | About You:
Ideally you will be a vibrant, energised registered nurse with current practising certificate and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Child health, and Māori health. Success in this role requires an appreciation and a well developed knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to improving outcomes for whanau. Previous experience working with Māori & Pasifika tamariki and communities is an advantage. You will have excellent knowledge of MedTech and MS Office suite as well as excellent written and communication skills.
